MK Harby Public Speaking provides coaching for presentation, interviewing, speech and performance skills. I recently became an Associate for WPNT Communications. WPNT Communications is a global communications training firm for Fortune 50 multinational companies, as well as small and growing businesses.
I started coaching in 2007 after having worked as a professional actress and musician for over twenty years. After receiving a Theater degree from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN, I began working at The American Repertory Theater at Harvard University, The Public Theater in Boston and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, NY.
I have been the Head Speaker Coach for TEDxAsburypark where I help speakers give the talk of their lives. I run workshops for the students at Allied Health and Science to improve the speaking skills of future healthcare professionals. I work closely with the team at Project Write Now to help the talented writers perform their works on stage. I also conduct Public Speaking Workshops which are available to help your staff communicate more effectively and connect with their clients.
What you should know about me and how I coach:
There is no way around it. You will have to practice if you want to become a better public speaker. Having been a music teacher for the past decade, I apply the same idea of practice to my coaching. My practice is based on practice. I believe that there is no such thing as a superior public speaker, rather a speaker who has dedicated time and effort into practicing more. It is achievable to become a very good public speaker if you are willing to put in the work.
